Here is a photo of The Flatirons from Coot Lake. Coot Lake is located off of North 63rd Street and is a great place to walk and enjoy the view.
We have been having a cold spell here in Colorado. The upside of the cold is that the snow sticks like frosting onto The Flatirons. Here is a shot I took this morning from the CU campus. The building with the dome is the Leeds Business School.
After a few days of uncharacteristic April snow we were treated to a beautiful winter scene this morning. On my way into the office I had to pull over and capture the moment knowing that chances are, we won’t be seeing snow like this again until next winter. Over the next week or two the grass will come to life and the trees will start to bud. Spring is almost here.
It has been an especially dry and warm winter this year. We have had a few small snowfalls but nothing much to speak about. This weekend the predictions of snow finally came to pass. The best part of a Colorado winter is the bright blue sky and the sunshine that follows the snow. This is a shot from the base of Chautauqua Park. Notice the sled tracks on the left side.
